Behind the threads
The material I use is simple: a pillow, pins, bobbins and threads.
Linen, cotton, silk, synthetic thread, metal, paper or plant fibre; all these materials interest me because of their texture, density, resistance, colour and transparency. Seeing the reflexion in silk, feeling the roughness of a thread, appreciating the roundness of other threads or even the details of their structure is a unique tactile and visual experience. The association of materials is sometimes bold, but it provides me with considerable freedom when interpreting my themes. The diversity of colours, the choice of materials, the swinging of the bobbins and the integration of natural elements, all these direct the design of my work.
